Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Aviation Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives and drive a zero-incident culture. This fully remote role focuses on developing, implementing, and overseeing Safety Management Systems across the organization, ensuring compliance with ICAO, EASA, and FAA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in aviation safety management or operations.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations (ICAO, EASA, FAA) and safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership abilities, particularly in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the organization's Safety Management System (SMS).
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
• Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to all levels of staff.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with all relevant aviation safety legislation.
• Promote a positive safety culture through communication, engagement, and leadership.
• Analyze safety data to identify trends and inform strategic safety improvements.
