Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aviation Safety Manager to lead SMS development and compliance across aviation operations. This fully remote role focuses on risk assessments, safety audits, and regulatory alignment with ICAO, EASA, and SACAA.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in aviation safety management.
Proven ability to develop and implement Safety Management Systems (SMS).
In-depth knowledge of ICAO, EASA, SACAA regulations and standards.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders remotely.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage the Safety Management System (SMS) across operations.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identifications, and safety audits.
Investigate incidents/accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for all personnel levels.
Promote a positive safety culture and advise management on safety matters.
