Placements24 is seeking a Senior Aviation Safety Officer for a fully remote role. You will oversee safety management systems across global aviation operations and lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance programs.

You will design training, analyze safety metrics, and promote a strong safety culture while shaping policies from a remote setting. A proven track record in aviation safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in aviation safety management or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing SMS.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO, EASA, or local aviation regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in safety data analysis and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant aviation safety certifications (e.g., IS-BAO, OSHA Aviation).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification across all aviation activities.
• Investigate aviation safety incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to national and international aviation safety regulations and standards.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees across various departments.
• Maintain and analyze safety performance metrics, reporting on trends and areas for improvement.
