Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Actuarial Manager to lead a remote actuarial team in South Africa. You will oversee pricing, reserving, and financial forecasting models, while shaping actuarial strategy and driving efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a quantitative field and Fellowship, with 10+ years’ actuarial experience including management in insurance. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative discipline.
• Fellowship of a recognized actuarial society (e.g., FIA, FASSA) is mandatory.
• 10+ years actuarial experience with at least 5 in a management/leadership role in insurance.
• Experience in life or general insurance pricing, reserving, capital modelling, and Solvency II/IFRS 17.
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic insights.
