Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Actuarial Analyst for a fully remote role serving clients nationwide, including Port Elizabeth markets. You will lead pricing, reserving, and risk analyses while collaborating with underwriting, finance, and product teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of actuarial experience, Fellowship or near-Fellow status, and strong skills in ResQ, GGY Axis, R, Python, and SQL. Excellent communication and independent work capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Completion of a significant number of actuarial examinations (Fellow or near-Fellow).
• Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience focusing on pricing and reserving.
• Proficiency in actuarial modeling software (ResQ, GGY Axis, R, Python, SQL).
• Advanced knowledge of statistical modeling, probability, and risk management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine pricing models for diverse insurance products.
• Perform reserving analyses and calculations adhering to regs and standards.
• Conduct stochastic modeling and sensitivity analyses for capital needs.
• Analyze historical claims data and trends for pricing and reserving.
• Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and product teams to share actuarial insights.
