Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a fully remote basis, supporting projects across multiple locations. You will manage construction costs, provide expert financial advice, and ensure commercial viability from inception to completion, with tendering, contract administration, and cost control as core duties.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and contract management principles.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities, suitable for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for diverse construction projects.
• Administer contracts, manage variations, and resolve contractual disputes effectively.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, identifying risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct site visits (as needed and feasible) to verify progress and assess potential claims, reporting findings remotely.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve favorable commercial terms.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and financial forecasts for senior management and clients.
