Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in quantity surveying and cost management.
Proven experience leading QS teams on significant construction projects.
Extensive knowledge of contract forms (FIDIC, NEC).
Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical, negotiation and remote collaboration skills.
Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, SAICE) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the quantity surveying function for multiple construction projects.
Develop detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
Administer contracts, including tendering, negotiation, and final account settlement.
Prepare BoQ, cost plans and tender documentation.
Monitor costs, identify variances, and implement cost controls.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
Advise clients on procurement, risk, and contracts.
Oversee valuation of work in progress and certify payments.
Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
