Job summary

Placements24 in South Africa seeks a Remote Quality Assurance Lead to shape QA strategies across production lines from a home office. You will develop and execute comprehensive quality plans, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other standards.

Lead a remote QA team of inspectors, analyze production data for defects, coordinate with engineering and R&D, and present detailed reports to senior management. Proficiency in SPC, FMEA, and QA software is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance within manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading a QA team, preferably remote or hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine QA policies and procedures for production processes.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of QA technicians and inspectors.
• Design and execute test plans and quality control measures.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and root causes of defects.
• Collaborate with remote engineering, production, and R&D teams to address quality issues.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure ISO compliance.
• Manage customer feedback related to product quality and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed quality reports for senior management.
