Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager in Upington, Northern Cape. You will lead the quality initiatives, develop and oversee robust QMS, and ensure products meet stringent standards.

With at least six years in QA/QC and three in management within manufacturing, you will drive continuous improvement and engage with cross-functional teams to sustain high-quality production and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science/Quality Management or equivalent.
• 6+ years in quality assurance or quality control, with 3+ years in a managerial role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO 9001 and related frameworks.
• Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain QMS aligned with ISO 9001 and industry standards.
• Monitor quality control across production lifecycle from raw materials to finished goods.
• Lead and mentor QA team; drive continuous improvement culture.
• Conduct internal audits and inspections; drive corrective actions.
• Investigate non-conformities; perform root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and engineering to embed quality into design.
• Manage external quality audits and regulatory certifications; liaison with bodies.
• Analyze quality data and trends to report performance and guide strategy.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
