Placements24 is seeking an experienced Solar Panel Installation Specialist to join a growing renewable energy team. This fully remote role provides expert guidance and remote support for solar projects across South Africa, enabling nationwide deployments from a flexible, remote-first setup.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in PV solar installations, deep knowledge of panels, inverters and mounting systems, and excellent communication to guide field teams remotely.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of practical PV solar installation experience.
- In-depth knowledge of solar panel types, mounting systems, inverters and electrical components.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve installation issues remotely.
- Excellent communication skills for phone/video guidance.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support and consultation to field installation teams on PV systems.
- Review installation plans to ensure design specs and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex issues remotely and guide technicians.
- Stay updated on solar tech, techniques and safety standards.
- Contribute to best practice guides and training materials.
