Placements24 is seeking a knowledgeable Solar Panel Installation Technician to provide expert remote support for clients nationwide. You will guide customers through installing solar panel systems via video calls and phone consultations, ensuring safe and correct setup without site travel.

This fully remote role rewards strong problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to interpret technical diagrams while delivering reliable guidance and troubleshooting to installers and homeowners.

Qualifications

Proven experience in solar panel installation or related electrical/renewable energy field.
Strong understanding of solar energy systems, components, wiring, and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and active listening skills for remote guidance.
Proficiency with remote support tools, video calls, and diagnostic software.
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work autonomously remotely.

Responsibilities

Provide detailed, remote guidance on solar panel installation procedures from setup to final connection.
Troubleshoot common installation challenges and technical issues via remote tools.
Interpret and explain system diagrams, electrical schematics, and manuals to customers.
Conduct virtual site assessments based on client information and photos.
Document all remote interactions and client feedback in the CRM system.
Stay updated with industry best practices, safety standards, and new solar technologies.
