Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Purchasing Coordinator to manage sourcing and procurement operations for our e-commerce platforms from anywhere in South Africa. This fully remote role requires strong communication, detail orientation, and autonomy to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.

You will forecast demand, track orders, and implement cost-saving procurement practices, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely deliveries in a distributed team setting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of purchasing/procurement experience.
• Proven ability to work remotely and self-directed.
• Strong communication via digital tools (Slack/Zoom/Teams).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate procurement of goods and services for online channels with timely delivery and pricing.
• Manage supplier relationships remotely, including communication and order placement.
• Use procurement software and digital tools to track orders and supplier performance.
• Conduct online research to identify vendors, compare pricing, and assess availability.
• Collaborate with marketing/operations to forecast demand and align purchasing.
• Process requisitions and maintain records of transactions and agreements.
• Assist in cost-saving initiatives and procurement best practices.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies in order fulfilment.
