Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Purchasing Coordinator to join their global procurement team. This fully remote role supports day-to-day operations from anywhere in South Africa, with the Rustenburg base, offering flexibility and growth.

The role involves coordinating orders, supplier communications, record keeping, and virtual collaboration to ensure timely procurement while adhering to policies and improving processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or related field.
• Proven remote purchasing experience and strong procurement knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for virtual collaboration.
• Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the purchasing process across departments, ensuring timely orders.
• Communicate with suppliers via email, phone, and virtual platforms to place orders.
• Maintain procurement records, databases, and digital filing systems.
• Track orders and deliveries; address delays or discrepancies proactively.
• Assist in supplier sourcing and evaluation based on remote criteria.
• Support the team with data entry and reporting tasks.
• Collaborate with internal teams using virtual tools and provide updates.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies in all remote transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorder processes.
• Participate in virtual meetings and contribute to process improvements.
