Job summary

Remote Recruitment is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to support purchasing through accurate supplier and order coordination. The role is fully remote from South Africa, enabling you to manage purchasing information, quotes, and PO processing while maintaining records and ensuring follow-ups stay on track.

Qualifications

• Relevant purchasing or procurement-support experience.
• Confident spreadsheet use and accurate record keeping.
• Clear communication when following up with suppliers.
• The ability to compare information, follow approval processes and manage deadlines.
• The ability to work independently and communicate progress reliably.
• Reliable internet and a suitable remote-working space.

Responsibilities

• Request quotations and collect supplier information against agreed requirements.
• Prepare quotation comparisons for review.
• Prepare purchase orders within the agreed approval process.
• Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations and delivery updates.
• Maintain purchasing records, supplier details and supporting documents.
• Flag discrepancies in prices, quantities or delivery dates.
• Keep relevant colleagues informed of outstanding purchasing actions.
