Placements24 is seeking a remote Electrical Engineer with a focus on renewable energy to join a global team. Lead the design and optimization of electrical systems for solar, wind, and storage projects from anywhere, collaborating with project managers and site engineers remotely.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in renewables, strong grid interconnection knowledge, and proficiency with PVSyst/ETAP/PSCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems or Renewable Energy.
• 5+ years of experience designing and engineering renewable energy systems.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software (PVSyst, ETAP, PSCAD).
• Strong understanding of grid interconnection requirements and regulations.
• Experience with energy storage systems (ESS) and battery management systems (BMS) is highly desirable.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind farms, and energy storage systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations, grid interconnection studies, and energy production estimates.
• Select appropriate electrical equipment, such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, and cabling.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and external stakeholders in a remote capacity.
• Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and operation phases of renewable energy projects.
