Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Payroll Specialist for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will manage payroll for all employees, ensure accuracy and timely processing, maintain records, and stay compliant with BCEA, LRA and tax laws.

You will collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve discrepancies and generate reports. The ideal candidate has a relevant qualification in Payroll Administration or Accounting, at least 3 years of payroll experience, and proficiency with Sage VIP,

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Payroll Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and administration.
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage VIP, Payslip, EasyPay) and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
• Manage payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports.
• Administer employee benefits related to payroll, such as UIF, SDL, and pension contributions.
• Handle payroll inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and documentation.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments on payroll-related matters.
• Perform regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues.
• Stay informed about changes in payroll legislation and update payroll processes accordingly.
• Generate various payroll reports for management review.
