Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Patient Advocate to join a virtual support team. You will empower patients by navigating the healthcare system, explaining rights, and helping access needed services from a remote location.

You will coordinate appointments, provide emotional support, document interactions, and guide patients and families through their healthcare journey, contributing to a patient-centric organization with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field.
• Previous experience in patient advocacy, healthcare navigation, social work, or a similar client-facing role.
• Strong understanding of healthcare systems, insurance processes, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in understanding their medical conditions, treatment options, and healthcare rights.
• Help patients navigate insurance benefits, claims processes, and medical billing inquiries.
• Coordinate appointments, follow-ups, and referrals with healthcare providers and specialists.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.
• Document all patient interactions, case notes, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Educate patients on preventative care measures and available health resources.
