Job summary

Valenture Institute is seeking a Learning Designer to design, develop and quality assure secondary school online course content and activities in line with curriculum requirements, SACAI and Valenture’s standards.

The role involves delivering high-quality material within scope and timelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring curriculum alignment and engaging online delivery. A teaching qualification and CAPS knowledge are essential; EdTech experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A relevant teaching qualification with subject specialisation for the course.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the CAPS curriculum and experience in teaching or developing learning material.
• Experience in learning design or digital content development is advantageous.
• Comfort with remote work and independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop curriculum-aligned online learning content and activities.
• Quality assure course content for accuracy, scope and alignment to standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Learning Technology and production teams to create media and interactive elements.
• Develop formative and summative assessments with marking guidelines and materials.
• Ensure content adheres to Valenture’s learning design principles and templates.
