Job summary

Valenture Institute is seeking a Learning Designer to design, develop and quality assure secondary school online course content and learning activities. You will ensure alignment with NSC/SACAI standards and Valenture’s design guidelines, delivering high-quality content within scope and timelines.

The role involves developing engaging online experiences, collaborating with product and production teams, and continually improving learning design processes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of CAPS curriculum and experience teaching or developing learning material in the relevant subject and phase.
• Experience in learning design, curriculum development or high-quality digital learning content.
• Experience in the EdTech field is advantageous.
• Knowledge of digital learning principles and practices is advantageous.
• Must be comfortable working remotely and independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and quality assure secondary school online course content and activities in line with curriculum requirements.
• Develop and adapt curriculum-aligned online learning experiences using approved tools and formats.
• Collaborate with Product, Learning Technology and production specialists to create media and interactive elements.
• Review effectiveness of learning design approaches and contribute to improvements.
• Manage development work against timelines and communicate progress and risks.
