Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a compassionate Mental Health Support Coordinator to join a fully remote Community & Social Care team serving clients across South Africa. You will provide virtual emotional support, crisis intervention, and guide clients to available services while maintaining confidential records.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related fields, with 2+ years of experience in mental health support or case management and strong virtual communication

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in mental health support, counseling, or case management.
• Strong virtual communication skills, including empathy and active listening.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual emotional support and crisis intervention to clients via phone and video calls.
• Assist clients in understanding their mental health needs and available treatment options.
• Facilitate referrals to mental health professionals, therapists, and support groups.
• Help clients develop personalized mental wellness plans and coping mechanisms.
• Maintain confidential and accurate electronic records of client interactions and progress.
• Collaborate with a remote team of mental health professionals and social care providers.
