Placements24 is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their remote product development team. You will conceptualize, design, and test innovative products with a distributed team of engineers, designers, and product managers to take ideas from ideation to market-ready solutions.

The role emphasizes independent work, effective communication in a virtual setting, and ongoing exposure to new technologies and manufacturing techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting.
• Experience with engineering simulation tools (FEA, CFD) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical aspects of new products using CAD software.
• Perform engineering analysis (e.g., stress, thermal) to validate designs and ensure performance requirements are met.
• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional remote teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
• Manage prototyping, testing, and iteration of designs.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and manufacturing techniques relevant to product development.
