The role is fully remote within South Africa, enabling you to design and validate groundbreaking mechanical solutions for emerging market needs while collaborating with product managers and manufacturing engineers online.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, has proven concept design experience, strong 3D CAD skills

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Proven track record in conceptual design and NPI.
• Strong 3D CAD modelling and simulation experience.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop novel mechanical systems and prototypes.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses for new ideas.
• Use 3D CAD and simulation to predict performance under varying conditions.
• Collaborate with remote cross-functional teams using digital tools.
• Prepare design documentation and IP disclosures.
• Stay updated on tech developments in mechanical engineering and product innovation.
