Placements24 is seeking a highly autonomous Mechanical Design Engineer to conceptualize, design, and develop specialized machinery from a remote location. You will use CAD tools for 3D modeling and manufacturing drawings, perform simulations, and collaborate virtually with clients and suppliers to deliver innovative solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in custom machinery design, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience designing custom machinery.
• Expertise in 3D CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA) and analysis tools.
• Remote work capability and strong problem-solving.
• Strong understanding of mechanisms, kinematics, dynamics, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, design, and develop novel mechanical systems and equipment based on client requirements and project specifications.
• Utilize advanced CAD software for detailed 3D modeling, complex assemblies, and precise manufacturing drawings.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations, including stress analysis, kinematics, and dynamic behavior.
• Collaborate virtually with clients, project managers, and fabrication teams to define requirements and provide technical support.
• Oversee procurement of components and work with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot design issues and provide innovative solutions for challenging engineering problems.
