Placements24 is seeking a motivated Remote Mechanical Design Engineer to join a fully distributed team. You will conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components from your own location using CAD tools and simulations.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical design, strong communication for remote collaboration, and a passion for robust, manufacturable solutions across varied projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical design and product development experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials science.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for remote collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and engineer mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD software.
• Conduct detailed analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration, to validate designs.
• Create comprehensive manufacturing drawings, specifications, and BOM.
• Collaborate effectively with remote team members through virtual meetings and project management platforms.
• Troubleshoot design issues and propose practical, cost-effective solutions.
