Placements24 is seeking a Remote Mechanical Design Specialist to lead detailed design and development of mechanical components and systems. You will work with a globally distributed team, delivering high-quality drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions from a fully remote setup.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, expert CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/CATIA), and strong capability in virtual collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of professional mechanical design experience.
Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar CAD platforms.
Experience with PDM/PLM systems and virtual collaboration tools.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, molding, etc.).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Design and develop complex mechanical parts and assemblies using advanced CAD software, adhering to industry best practices.
Perform detailed engineering analysis, including tolerance studies and finite element analysis (FEA), to validate designs.
Create comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including detailed drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
Collaborate with remote engineering teams, project managers, and manufacturing partners via digital communication tools.
Contribute to design reviews, offering insights to enhance product performance and manufacturability.
Ensure design compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and client specifications.
