Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Loss Adjuster to manage insurance claims from Richards Bay and surrounding areas. You will inspect damaged properties, investigate incidents, determine loss extent and liability, and prepare detailed loss reports for fair settlements.

The role requires strong investigative and negotiation skills, meticulous documentation, and the ability to work autonomously in a client-facing capacity. A relevant industry qualification is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Loss Adjuster or in a similar claims investigation role.
• In-depth understanding of insurance principles, policy wordings, and claims handling best practices.
• Excellent observational skills and meticulous documentation of findings.
• Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Proficiency with digital tools for reporting and data management.
• Relevant industry qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Conduct on-site inspections of damaged properties to assess the extent of the loss.
• Investigate the circumstances surrounding claims to determine cause and liability.
• Obtain and review documentation, including police reports, repair quotes, and policy details.
• Prepare detailed loss reports with photographic evidence and cost estimations.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders or representatives in a fair and professional manner.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, policyholders, and internal claims departments.
