Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote Insurance Claims Adjuster to join a fully remote team in South Africa. You will investigate, evaluate, and settle diverse insurance claims, maintaining compliance and delivering exceptional service from a home-based office.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, a related Bachelor's degree, and a valid Adjuster’s license or eligibility to obtain one. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience as a claims adjuster in the insurance industry.
• Licenses such as Adjuster's License are required or must be obtained upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and assess liability and damages for insurance claims.
• Gather and review documentation including police reports, witness statements, and medical records.
• Conduct interviews with claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties.
• Determine coverage under applicable policies and negotiate fair settlements.
• Maintain accurate claim files and document actions and decisions.
• Communicate with policyholders, legal representatives, and stakeholders throughout the process.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing claims handling.
• Utilize claims management software and digital tools to manage workload.
