About the Role

Our client is revolutionizing the transport industry with a fully remote operational model and is seeking a proactive Remote Logistics Fleet Coordinator to manage their fleet operations from a distance. This position is ideal for an experienced logistics professional who thrives in a virtual environment and is adept at using technology to maintain seamless coordination. Based out of Soweto, Gauteng , but operating entirely remotely, you will be responsible for the efficient dispatching, tracking, and management of our delivery fleet. Your role will be critical in ensuring timely deliveries, optimizing routes, and maintaining effective communication with drivers across various locations. We are looking for an organized, tech-savvy individual with a proven track record in logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all daily fleet activities, including dispatching, routing, and scheduling of drivers, entirely via remote channels.
• Utilize advanced fleet management software and GPS tracking systems to monitor vehicle movements, driver performance, and delivery status in real-time.
• Communicate proactively and clearly with a remote team of drivers, providing support, instructions, and resolving issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate electronic records of all fleet operations, including mileage, fuel logs, maintenance schedules, and delivery confirmations.
• Ensure strict compliance with all South African transport regulations and company policies.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in fleet performance.
• Generate comprehensive reports for management on fleet efficiency, delivery success rates, and cost management.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding delivery status and logistics inquiries.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance driver safety and operational effectiveness in a remote setting.
• Facilitate virtual training and onboarding for new drivers joining the remote fleet.

Requirements
