Placements24 is seeking a Remote Industrial Engineer to lead operations efficiency initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities. The role focuses on Lean implementation, data-driven optimization, and cross-site collaboration from a home office.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in industrial engineering with Lean expertise, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and Minitab. This is a fully remote role with opportunities to impact diverse sites in the renewables sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering with emphasis on operations efficiency and Lean implementation.
• Demonstrated success leading and implementing process improvement projects in manufacturing or operations environments.
• Expert knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, tools, and techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, adept at remote collaboration.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab) and process mapping software.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver results in a remote setting.
• Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of manufacturing and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, focusing on Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies (e.g., VSM, Kaizen, 5S).
• Establish and track KPIs to measure operational efficiency, cost savings, and productivity gains.
• Lead and facilitate virtual improvement workshops and Kaizen events with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with site management and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of process changes.
• Develop standardized work procedures and best practices for operational consistency.
• Analyze production data and provide actionable insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and coach team members on Lean principles and problem-solving techniques.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on operational performance and improvement initiatives.
