Placements24 seeks a seasoned Lead Quantity Surveyor for a remote-first role with a Centurion hub. You will oversee a team of QS professionals, manage project costs from estimate to final accounts, and ensure profitability on large-scale builds across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying, SACQSP is desirable, and at least 10 years’ experience in cost management within construction.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent cost control and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with cost estimating, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
• Proven contract administration experience across varied contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage quantity surveying activities on projects to ensure cost control.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
• Administer contracts, including payments, variations, and claims.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure remote collaboration with stakeholders.
• Negotiate with contractors to secure favorable terms and manage risk.
