Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Lead Compliance Officer to join a fully remote team in driving the organization’s global compliance program across jurisdictions. You will shape policy, lead audits, and guide risk management in banking/finance environments.

Qualifications

• University degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles in banking/finance.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services regulations, including AML/KYC, data privacy, and consumer protection laws.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with global and local regulations.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify potential gaps and areas of concern.
• Oversee the implementation of AML, KYC, and CTF policies and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise senior management on their potential impact on the business.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees across all levels.
• Investigate and resolve compliance breaches or misconduct allegations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors on compliance matters.
• Promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organization.
• Manage and mentor a team of compliance professionals, fostering their development and effectiveness in a remote setting.
