Placements24, a fast-growing FinTech in the Banking & Finance sector, seeks a remote Compliance Officer specializing in AML and KYC. You will build and maintain robust compliance programs to meet regulatory requirements and prevent financial crime.

You will conduct risk assessments, manage CDD/EDD, monitor transactions, file SARs, and train staff. The role offers fully remote work from anywhere in South Africa and the chance to collaborate with regulators and auditors.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AML/KYC frameworks and South African legislation.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and developing compliance policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage AML and KYC policies.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify money-laundering risks.
• Oversee CDD and EDD processes.
• Monitor transactions and investigate suspicious activity.
• Prepare SARs and liaise with authorities.
• Stay updated with evolving AML/KYC regulations and best practices.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors during reviews.
• Maintain compliance records and documentation.
• Develop and implement ongoing monitoring programs for customer accounts.
