Placements24 is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to lead the compliance program in a remote setup. You will ensure adherence to SA financial regulations and global standards, overseeing AML/KYC and risk assessments.

Excellent communication and stakeholder influence are essential for success in a dynamic fintech environment. The role requires a strong background in compliance within financial services and certifications like CAMS/CRCM are a plus.

Formación

• University degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in compliance, risk management, or legal roles in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of SA regulations (FICA, FAIS, POPIA) and international standards.
• Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs.
• Certifications like CAMS or CRCM are advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive compliance program across all functions.
• Interpret and advise on FAIS, FICA, POPIA and related regulations for operations.
• Design and deliver compliance training for employees.
• Oversee AML/KYC processes and transaction monitoring.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify gaps.
• Investigate breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Engage with regulators and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain and update policies, procedures, and controls.
