The role ensures adherence to banking regulations and internal policies across the organization, guiding the development of compliance strategies and risk assessments from anywhere in South Africa.

You will oversee a comprehensive compliance program, stay ahead of regulatory changes, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain regulatory excellence in a remote-first

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive compliance experience in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, AML, and KYC.
• Proven ability to develop and implement robust compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the bank's comprehensive compliance program.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
• Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements and advise management on changes.
• Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver compliance training materials to employees across departments.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
