Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in chemical process design, development, and project leadership.
• Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS.
• Proven track record leading complex chemical engineering projects, preferably in a remote or distributed team environment.
• In-depth knowledge of process safety management principles and practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with batch and continuous processing is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work setup.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of innovative chemical processes and systems from conceptualization to full-scale implementation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of chemical engineers in a remote setting.
• Oversee process simulation, modeling, and analysis to optimize plant operations and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ensure all process designs adhere to stringent safety regulations (e.g., HAZOP, LOPA) and environmental standards.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for chemical engineering projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and project management to achieve project goals.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and operational manuals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in chemical engineering and process technology.
