Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote IT Support Specialist to join a global cloud infrastructure leader. You will provide first and second-level support to end-users via phone, email and chat from a home office.

You’ll diagnose hardware, software, and network issues, install and configure systems, manage accounts, document solutions, and help improve IT support processes while adhering to security policies. Strong communication and self-motivation are essential for a remote, distributed team.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or similar technical role.
• Strong familiarity with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Proficient at diagnosing and resolving network and hardware issues.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for remote work.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level support to end-users via phone, email, and chat.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
• Assist users with account management and access issues.
• Document support requests and solutions in a knowledge base.
• Escalate complex issues to senior support engineers as needed.
• Identify potential IT problems and suggest preventative measures.
• Contribute to IT support process improvements and documentation.
• Maintain adherence to IT security policies.
