Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote IT Helpdesk Technician to provide first-line support for users across departments in South Africa. The role is fully remote, with occasional team syncs near Centurion, Gauteng, and requires strong troubleshooting across hardware, software, and network issues.

You will diagnose, resolve, and document incidents, maintain asset records, and contribute to IT documentation and projects while delivering timely, customer-focused support from a home office.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as an IT Helpdesk Technician or similar support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS, MS Office, and business apps.
• Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems; certifications desirable.

Aufgaben

• Provide first-line remote support to end-users via phone, email, and remote tools.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network incidents.
• Install and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Escalate unresolved issues with detailed documentation.
• Maintain IT asset records and helpdesk tickets.
• Contribute to IT documentation and knowledge base.
• Perform regular system checks and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with security policies.
