Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote IT Helpdesk Support to join a fully remote IT department. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing remote assistance to employees and maintaining smooth IT operations across the organization.

Ideal candidates have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and can work autonomously in a virtual environment while contributing to a supportive remote work culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, MS Office, and common business applications.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and remote support tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT helpdesk support to employees remotely.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, OS and network connectivity.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Document all support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when needed.
