Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote IT Helpdesk Specialist to join our fully remote support team serving users worldwide. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues from a home office while upholding security standards.

Required: 3+ years in IT helpdesk, Windows/macOS proficiency, and experience with remote tools (TeamViewer/AnyDesk) and ticketing systems. Certification and bachelor’s degree preferred; remote work is fully supported.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT helpdesk or technical support role.
• Experience with Windows, macOS, and common business applications.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+ or Microsoft are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote support to end-users via phone, email, and chat.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and application software.
• Assist users with account management, password resets, and access privileges.
• Document all support interactions in the ticketing system.
• Escalate complex unresolved issues to higher-level support technicians.
• Contribute to IT knowledge base articles and user guides.
• Monitor system performance and identify potential issues proactively.
• Adhere to IT security policies to protect company data.
