Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Insurance Product Developer to conceptually design and launch innovative insurance products from anywhere in South Africa. You will lead end-to-end development, collaborate with marketing, actuarial, legal and sales, and define product vision and roadmaps for market success.

The role requires 7+ years in product management, a strong insurance background, and excellent analytical and regulatory skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field.
MBA or relevant master's degree is a plus.
Minimum 7 years of experience in product management or development, preferably in insurance.

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for new insurance products.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and gaps.
Define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned with business goals.
Collaborate with actuarial teams to ensure product viability and pricing strategies.
Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Develop product specifications, features, and benefits.
Create go-to-market strategies in partnership with marketing and sales teams.
Monitor product performance post-launch, analyzing metrics and data-driven adjustments.
Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to inform future iterations.
Present proposals and updates to senior management.
