Placements24 is partnering with a forward-thinking insurance provider to recruit a Remote Insurance Product Development Manager in South Africa. You will lead the end-to-end creation of innovative insurance products from ideation to launch, collaborating with actuarial, underwriting, claims, marketing and legal teams while operating in a remote-first culture.

The role serves Richards Bay and broader markets, offering autonomy, strategic impact, and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• MBA or relevant Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in insurance product development or related strategic role.
• Strong knowledge of insurance principles, market dynamics, and regulatory environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end development and lifecycle management of new insurance products.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, claims, marketing, sales, and legal teams.
• Develop product strategies, roadmaps, and business cases with financial projections.
• Define product requirements, features, and user experience meeting customer needs and regulatory standards.
• Oversee product documentation, training materials, and marketing collateral.
• Monitor product performance and implement enhancements based on feedback.
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.
• Manage external vendor relationships as needed.
• Present strategies and updates to senior leadership.
