Placements24 is seeking a diligent Insurance Claims Handler to join a fully remote team serving Sandton, Gauteng and beyond. You will manage end-to-end insurance claims, assess validity, calculate settlements, and communicate with policyholders with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in claims handling, solid knowledge of policies, and strong administrative and time-management abilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Claims Handler or in a similar insurance claims role.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies, procedures and claims handling best practices.
• Excellent administrative, organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in using claims management software and standard office applications.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, register, and process insurance claims efficiently and accurately.
• Verify policy coverage and details relevant to each claim.
• Assess claim validity and determine appropriate settlement amounts in line with policy terms.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with policyholders throughout the claims process.
• Gather necessary documentation, conduct preliminary investigations, and request additional information as needed.
• Liaise with assessors, repairers, and other third parties to facilitate claim resolution.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claim activities in the claims management system.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and service standards.
