Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Handler for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will manage the end-to-end process of insurance claims, from reporting to settlement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while adhering to policy terms.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Claims Handler or similar administrative role in insurance.
• Good understanding of general insurance principles and policy types.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and process incoming insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
• Contact policyholders and other relevant parties to gather necessary information and documentation.
• Investigate claim details, assess liability, and determine the extent of coverage based on policy terms.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and third parties where appropriate, ensuring fairness and compliance.
• Maintain clear and concise records of all claim activities and communications in the claims system.
