Placements24 is seeking a Remote Insurance Claims Adjuster to join a fully distributed team in South Africa. You will manage a diverse caseload from initiation to closure, conduct investigations, and communicate with empathy and professionalism to policyholders and claimants.

Working remotely from SA, you’ll rely on strong judgement, robust regulatory knowledge, and time management to settle claims fairly within policy terms while collaborating with internal and external partners.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience as a claims adjuster in the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of policies, claims procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent investigation, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims in accordance with policy terms and conditions.
• Conduct thorough assessments of damages and liabilities using investigative techniques.
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information and explain claim processes.
• Negotiate settlements within authorized limits, ensuring fairness and accuracy.
• Document all claim activities, decisions, and communications meticulously in the claims management system.
• Adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the claims process.
• Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate suspicious claims for investigation.
• Manage a diverse caseload, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Provide clear and empathetic guidance to policyholders during challenging times.
• Collaborate with internal legal counsel and external adjusters when necessary.
