Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Insurance, Law, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Claims Adjuster.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with claims management software and general computer applications.
• Stable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
• Familiarity with South African insurance regulations and legal frameworks.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and remote work tools.

Responsibilities

• Investigate assigned insurance claims thoroughly, gathering all necessary documentation and evidence.
• Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages to determine claim validity and settlement amounts.
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties via phone, email, and video conferencing.
• Negotiate settlements within established guidelines and authority limits.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate claim files in the company's claims management system.
• Identify potential subrogation or salvage opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
