Placements24 is seeking a Remote Industrial Efficiency Analyst to optimize industrial processes for a diverse international client base from a fully remote setup within South Africa. You will analyze operational data, identify inefficiencies, and propose strategic, data-driven solutions to reduce costs and improve productivity.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong analytics, and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively in a virtual environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related quantitative field.
• 3-5 years in industrial engineering, process analysis, or operational efficiency, preferably with remote work.
• Proficiency in data analysis software (Excel, Python, R) and statistical modelling.
• Experience with Arena or FlexSim is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills for virtual settings.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and quality management systems.
• Experience with remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, Slack).
• Access to reliable internet and dedicated home office setup.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of industrial processes using data analytics and simulation tools.
• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for cost reduction in production and supply chain operations.
• Develop comprehensive reports and presentations detailing findings and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate virtually with clients and internal stakeholders to implement process improvements.
• Utilize statistical methods and process mapping techniques to model and visualize operational flows.
• Research and stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in industrial engineering and process optimization.
• Support the development of digital tools and platforms for remote process monitoring.
• Facilitate virtual workshops and training sessions on efficiency improvement strategies.
• Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all analytical tasks.
• Provide remote support and guidance to operational teams as needed.
