Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Industrial Engineer to contribute to operational excellence across manufacturing and business processes. This role is fully remote within South Africa, requiring strong analytical skills, Lean and Six Sigma expertise, and the ability to collaborate digitally with cross-functional teams.

You will analyze, design, and improve processes to boost efficiency, cut costs, and enhance quality while delivering remote support and training materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in industrial engineering focusing on process improvement.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Proficient with process simulation software, data analysis tools, and virtual collaboration platforms (Teams, Zoom, Asana).
• Strong remote communication, organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of operational data and processes to identify inefficiencies.
• Design and implement scalable process improvements using digital tools.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
• Create process documentation including SOPs and training materials for remote use.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
• Monitor performance and provide remote support for continuous improvement.
