Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Industrial Engineer to contribute to operational excellence initiatives. This fully remote role allows you to leverage your expertise from anywhere, with operations located in or supporting the Free State region.

You will analyze, design, and implement improvements to manufacturing and operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality while collaborating virtually with teams across locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering.
Strong understanding of lean principles, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and simulation software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed analysis of operational data and processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
Design and implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
Develop process documentation, simulation models, and performance metrics for operational tracking.
Collaborate virtually with plant managers, engineers, and stakeholders to implement process changes and best practices.
Conduct remote assessments of operational facilities and processes to recommend improvements.
