Placements24 is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee Compliance and Policy for a fully remote workforce. You will develop, implement, and maintain HR policies while ensuring adherence to South African labour laws and robust governance across a distributed team.

The role focuses on mitigating risk, conducting HR audits, and providing expert guidance on compliance matters to HR teams and business leaders. A strategic, detail-oriented leader is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on compliance and policy development.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labour law and employment regulations.
• Experience developing and implementing HR policies in a complex organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience managing HR in a remote or distributed environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of HR compliance, including labour law adherence, data privacy, and regulatory reporting.
• Conduct regular HR audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
• Provide expert guidance to HR teams and business leaders on compliance-related matters.
• Manage investigations into policy violations and ensure fair and consistent application of disciplinary procedures.
