Placements24 is seeking a Lead HR Generalist to spearhead remote HR operations for a growing organization. You will manage day-to-day HR functions, ensure compliance, and enhance the employee experience across the company. This is a remote-first role requiring strong leadership and proactive people development.

You will partner with managers, own HR policies, and drive training initiatives while maintaining confidential data and delivering strategic HR value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
• 6+ years experience as HR Generalist, with at least 2 in lead/supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of SA labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, OHSA) and HR best practices.
• Experience handling investigations and employee relations.
• Experience with HRIS and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all generalist HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, ER, performance mgmt, compensation, benefits.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies in line with legislation and best practices.
• Provide expert HR guidance to employees and managers on policies and procedures.
• Lead full recruitment cycle from sourcing to offer negotiations.
• Conduct investigations and resolve grievances and disciplinary issues impartially.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
• Organize and facilitate employee training and development programs.
• Maintain HRIS records and HR data accurately.
• Promote culture and values, driving employee engagement and a positive environment.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as required.
